Volare con l’Italiano

The second edition of Volare con l’Italiano was held on May 2, 2018 at the Centro Leonardo da Vinci, and it was organized by the Consulate General in collaboration with the Canadian airline Air Transat, PICAI – Patronato Italo-Canaadese Assistenza agli Immigranti and CESDA – Centro Scuola Dante Alighieri.

The event has the dual function of rewarding young students of Italian language and culture, and of promoting the teaching system abroad, especially among younger generations.
The competition was presented by the Consul General of Italy in Montreal Marco Riccardo Rusconi, who called on stage two very young students to assist him in the extraction of the 10 names of the winners, 3 of whom will receive a complimentary air ticket to fly to a destination of your choice between Rome and Venice.
During the evening the Consulate General also distributed 3 free admission tickets for the Republic Day to be held on May 27 at Place Bell to all pupils aged between 8 and 17 years, so that not only the 10 students drawn had the opportunity to win a prize.

The initiative is very important given the vibrant and active Italian community of the city of Montreal, where language students come from all age groups. The Consulate General thanks the two managing bodies, CESDA and PICAI, for their fundamental contribution, as well as the families that enroll their children in language schools and contribute to the diffusion and maintenance of the culture of Italy in Montreal and Quebec.
