ICFF – Italian Contemporary Film Festival 14-21 June 2019

7th edition of the Italian Contemporary Film Festival – ICFF 2019 at Cinémathèque Québécoise: a film event, collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal, the Consulate General of Italy in Montreal, the Cinémathèque Québécoise of Montreal, the Cinéma Guzzo and the Cinéma Moderne.

“Fare Cinema” is an action system, devised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the aim of promoting abroad, thanks to the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes, the Italian quality film production. An ambitious project, in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, makes use of a multi-annual strategy and the participation of public and private actors in the Italian film industry, particularly ANICA and Istituto Luce-Cinecittà. “Fare Cinema” is one of the main strategic actions of the integrated promotion plan “Vivere All’Italiana”.

The Festival, which will be held from June 14th until June 21st 2019, at Cinémathèque Québécoise, 335 Boul de Maisonneuve E, (514) 842-9763, Cinéma Guzzo, 5940 Boulevard des Grandes-Prairies, Montreal, (514) 324-3000 and Cinéma Moderne, 5150 Boul St-Laurent, (514) 282-2087, offers thirteen recent films by well-known Italian directors rewarded in Italy and internationally. Nine days of film of great Italian contemporary cinema, in which will be examined themes linked to a global public, exploring Italy of yesterday and today, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate the Italian reality in Canada.
