{"id":1464,"date":"2023-06-15T22:50:56","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T20:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consmontreal.esteri.it\/?p=1464"},"modified":"2023-06-15T23:37:17","modified_gmt":"2023-06-15T21:37:17","slug":"other-parents-consent-no-longer-needed-to-issue-the-passport-of-a-parent-with-minor-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consmontreal.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2023\/06\/other-parents-consent-no-longer-needed-to-issue-the-passport-of-a-parent-with-minor-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Other parent\u2019s consent no longer needed to issue the passport of a parent with minor children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the provisions of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/id\/2023\/06\/13\/23G00080\/sg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art. 20 of Decree Law No. 69<\/a> of June 13, 2023, as of June 14, 2023, for the issuance of a passport in favor of a parent with minor children,\u00a0<strong>the applicant no longer needs to submit the other parent\u2019s consent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance to the above-mentioned provision of law, when there is a concrete and current risk that, due to the move abroad, a parent with minor children may evade the fulfillment of his or her obligations to the children, a court may issue a\u00a0<strong>passport-inhibiting order<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAn application for an injunction or passport-inhibiting order shall be made by appeal to the ordinary court of the place where the minor has his or her habitual residence.
