In order to enable Italian participation in peace and humanitarian initiatives at the international level, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is authorized, pursuant to Article 23-ter of Presidential Decree 18/1967, paragraph 2, to grant contributions to initiatives proposed by Italian and foreign private entities, following a public procedure, in compliance with the principles of transparency and equal treatment.
A Publicity Notice for the disbursement of contributions referred to in the subject, is published on the MAECI website, at the page: Notice of publicity for contributions to private entities for the purposes of maintaining international peace and security and implementing humanitarian initiatives and protecting human rights – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
With reference to how applications are to be submitted, Article 4 of the Notices stipulates that, for entities with registered offices in a non-EU country, the application is to be submitted exclusively through the Italian Diplomatic Representation with territorial jurisdiction. In lieu of the declaration in lieu of certifications, according to the model attached to the Notices, these individuals are required to produce appropriate documentation to prove the existence of the requirements, equivalent according to the legislation of the State of belonging and legalized by the Italian Diplomatic Representation with territorial jurisdiction. In addition, in order to meet the final deadline established by the Notices the stamp affixed by the Diplomatic Representation at the time of receipt of the application will be authentic.
