August 8 marks the “National Day of Sacrifice for Italian Workers Around the World.”
This coincides with the commemoration of the mining accident in Marcinelle, Belgium, where 262 miners, including 136 Italians, lost their lives in the Bois du Cazier mine in 1956.
On the occasion of this 69th anniversary, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation addressed a message to Italian citizens abroad.
