The 25th edition of the “Settimana della lingua italiana nel mondo” will take place from October 13 to 19, 2025. This year’s theme is entitled “Italofonia: Beyond Borders.”
Our aim is to celebrate the linguistic, cultural, and social space of Italian language by imagining a community of people around the world united by the passion for our language and for Italy. Montreal and Canada are proudly an example of this cultural mixture.
Here are some of the events promoted by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Montreal for this year’s SLIM:
- Tuesday, October 14, at 6:00 p.m.: “Lisez la littérature italienne!” reading circle dedicated to “Dove Mi Trovo” by Jhumpa Lahiri.
