Death

PLEASE NOTE

To report a death, the following documentation must be sent to the Consulate General by post:

  1. Original of the act of death, duly apostilled by Canadian Authorities. For documents issued in Quebec, please refer to the website of the Ministry of Justice of Quebec. For information regarding apostilles on documents issued by the provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador and Nuvavut, please refer to Global Affairs Canada;
  2. Application for registration duly completed;
  3. Copy of the deceased’s passport.
