Communicate a change of address or of consular district

How to communicate a change of address within the same consular district or a transfer to another consular district?

After registering with the A.I.R.E., citizens must keep their personal position updated, promptly communicating any changes regarding their residence abroad. Failure to update information relating to the address makes it impossible to contact citizens and to receive postcards or electoral ballots in case of elections/referendums.

The change of address must be communicated through the FAST IT Portal. To do this, click on “Consular Register and A.I.R.E.” and then on “Notify the Change of Address”.

To complete the procedure, the following will be required:

  1. A valid identity document, in addition to that of any family members living with you
  2. Documentation proving the residence in our consular district (i.e. driving license, residential utility bills, etc.)
