As indicated in the message in reference, Trenitalia has recently launched a program of facilitations aimed at Italian citizens living abroad on the purchase of travel documents for the Trenitalia Frecciarossa trains.
To ascertain the ownership of the facility, the initiative of Trenitalia originally provided for the presentation on board the train by the traveller of its certificate of registration at the AIRE.
Some users have complained that the stamp duty required to obtain the certificate erodes the advantageousness of the offers. Trenitalia now provides for the assessment of ownership with the exhibition, as an alternative to the aforementioned certificate, of the personal data of the traveller, obtainable free of charge from the portal of consular services Fast-It.
In light of this change in the terms of the offer, Trenitalia has updated the landing page, in 7 languages, which explains to users how to access the facilities.
