National Space Day: “Italy–Quebec: A Space for Opportunities”

On the occasion of National Space Day and the 9th edition of AEROMART Montreal 2025 – one of the leading international conventions bringing together professionals from the aerospace and aviation industries – this Consulate General, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), organized the event “Italy–Quebec: A Space for Opportunities” on Thursday, March 27 at 6 p.m. at Hotel Monville.

Held within a high-profile international context, the event fostered networking between Italian and Quebec-based companies in the aerospace sector and provided an opportunity to explore collaboration between research and industry.

Following the opening remarks by H.E. Alessandro Cattaneo, Ambassador of Italy to Canada, Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the ICAO Council, and Marco Saladini, Director of the ICE Office in Toronto, discussions were led by experts in the aerospace field.

The panel of speakers featured: France Nadine Forget, representative of Investissement Québec International; Etienne Leclerc-Jolette, Vice President of CIRAQ; Ignazio Dimino, on behalf of CIRA; Jarrod Morley, representing AéroMontréal; Raffaella Farina, delegate from the Campania Region; and Alberto Mariani, representing ANSER – Emilia-Romagna Region.

The event concluded with a networking cocktail, offering an ideal opportunity for industry professionals to meet, exchange ideas, and initiate new collaborations.

All attendees – over one hundred in total – were gifted a copy of the book “Roma, seconda stella a destra”, a publication by INAF supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
