vivo darte siti rete 1

A yearly prize to give value and promote creativity and talent of young Italian artists living abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation launched a competition with the aim of giving an instrument of visibility and promoting the collaboration between Italian artists and the cultural scene of their country of residence, enhancing in this way the production of new works that develop the theme of contamination and dialogue between cultures and that involve the participation of local artists. For the prize-competition “Vivo d’arte”, reserved for young artists aged less than 36, two different sections are considered: performing arts (music, theatre and contemporary dance) and visual arts (figurative, sculptures and video-art), in collaboration with respectively Romaeuropa Foundation and the Bologna Museum of Modern Art, with the participation of the MiBac. This initiative wants to create a network of Italian artists abroad and give attention to the new Italian migration, enhancing in a contemporary way two distinctive traits of Italy in the world: creativity and the ability of the artistic excellencies to express themselves even outside the national borders.
