The Alto-Adige Choir Federation announces the 1st edition of the “Andrea Mascagni International Contest of Choral and Lyrical Composition” for mountain folk men choir and women-only choir, to promote the creation and diffusion of a new choral repertoire and choral lyrics, addressed to young and adult composers.
The contest also wants to commemorate the eminent figures of Andrea Mascagni (1917-2004) and Sergio Maccagnan (1938-2014), two sensitive and devoted choral performers.
The deadline for the enrollment and submission of the work is the 17th of June 2019 for the lyrics authors, while the composers can apply from the 18th of July until the 17th of December 2019.
