The Farnesina has decided to support the solidarity initiatives that will be launched in favour of the population and the artistic and cultural heritage of the city of Venice, adhering to the fundraising promoted by the Mayor Luigi Brugnaro. “What happens in Venice worries us as a government. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, I intend to have initiatives activated in every embassy and every consulate to support Venice all over the world,” announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luigi Di Maio.
Through the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates and Institutes of Culture, the Farnesina will launch in all countries a solidarity campaign in support of Venice to raise awareness among Italian and local communities about the emergency that has hit the city and to promote fundraising.
This action will start with moments of reflection on the events of the last few days that will be organized as part of the full program of events of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the review organized each year by the Farnesina to promote quality Italian cuisine, taking the opportunity of the imminent start of the review scheduled from November 18 to 24 next in 110 countries.
On these occasions, the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates and Institutes of Culture in the world will give maximum visibility to the signing of the “Contributo emergenza acqua” promoted by the City of Venice to which you can contribute through the following bank details:
